His ball skills are second to none, his runs from midfield are usually lethal and he is almost impossible to tackle when he gets his head down. His balance when running at speed is incredible.  His goal scoring ability is amazing. He is arguably the best in the world.  Lionel Messi is the heir apparent to the throne left vacant by Diego Maradona.

Now it may be his turn to lead Argentina all the way to the finals.  This is Messi’s chance to earn his place alongside Pele, Maradona, and Ronaldo.
