The new Star Wars movie has its first mini disaster. Last week, Han Solo, aka Harrison Ford, broke his leg on the set, a spokeswoman said Thursday, correcting initial reports that the star actor fractured his ankle.
Ford had surgery on the broken leg after being hurt when a garage door fell and hit him at Pinewood Studios outside London last Thursday, according to British emergency services at the time.
In an update a week after the accident, spokeswoman Ina Treciokas said: “Harrison Ford’s left leg was broken in an accident. His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly.
“He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work,” she added in a statement.
Ford returns to the Star Wars saga reprising his role as smuggler Han Solo, Hamill will return as Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher reprises the role of Princess Leia.
J.J. Abrams is directing the hotly anticipated film with previous credits including “Star Trek” and “Mission: Impossible III” under his belt. To end goal is to bring back the magic from the original trilogy: “Star Wars,” “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”
Let’s hope Harrison Ford heals that leg and gets back to filming. Han Solo is a true red pill character with one of the best red pill movie lines in the history of film from The Empire Strikes Back, can you guess what it was?
