NYT best selling author triggered by Norwegian flag, confused it for confederate

New York Times best-selling author, and self-described (you gotta love shameless self-flattery) “veteran journalist” Rebecca Morris was triggered when she saw her neighbor’s Norwegian flag, and terrified that it may be a confederate flag, sent a message to the Seattle Times, which, according to Truth Revolt.org, read:

“Hi. Suddenly there is a Confederate flag flying in front of a house in my Greenwood neighborhood. It is at the north-east corner of 92nd and Palatine, just a block west of 92nd and Greenwood Ave N. I would love to know what this ‘means’ … but of course don’t want to knock on their door. Maybe others in the area are flying the flag? Maybe it’s a story? Thank you.”

The reality was, it wasn’t, in fact, a Confederate flag, but something from the Old World: A Norwegian flag, something which should offend literally nobody.

Darold Norman Stangeland, the owner of the home in question, said “That’s a Norwegian flag. It’s been up there since the start of the Olympics.” He continued “I’m a proud Norwegian-American. My parents emigrated here in the mid-1950s.” reports Truth Revolt.

Now it’s one thing to have strong opinions about the Confederate flag, that is a subject I am not even going to touch with a ten-foot polearm, but the real amusing bit was that she can’t identify a Norwegian flag, yet felt certain it was a confederate flag enough to make a report to her local newspaper. I hope Ms. Morris apologized to her neighbor for the confusion.

I do not wish to generalize, but based on her website, and the message, she seems as if she is the type of liberal who would consider herself ‘culturally sensitive’, and the type to criticize conservatives for being ‘ignorant barbarians’ or something of the like. As a result, if this is true, there is massive hypocrisy here, that she can’t identify the flag of a modern country, which should be a lot more relevant and worth discussing than a Confederate flag.

The fact that the Norwegian flag is lost to an NYT best-selling author calls into question the weather or not the greater issue is not the Confederate flag and its alleged racism, but the hypocrisy, anti-intellectualism, and general ignorance towards culture, history, and the greater world displayed by many, modern Americans.

The broader issue is often these types of people (again, I generally do not wish to generalize), are often the type that knows nothing about a particular place, not even where it is on the map, whether it is Norway, Ukraine, Syria, Crimea, etc. yet have a massive opinion about it, which typically aligns with US globalist interests.
