Lat week, McDonald’s shares tumbled nearly 4% after the fast food giant posted its biggest domestic same-store sales drop in more than a decade.
Sales at U.S. stores open at least 13 months fell 4.6% in November, the company, greater than the 1.7% slide analysts expected.
Globally, sales fell 2.2%, with a 4% drop in the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa regions.
In Europe, the comp-store sales were down 2%, which McDonald’s attributed to “very weak” results in Russia and negative results in France and Germany.
Not to worry shareholders…McD’s may have found a way to significantly boost Big Mac sales.
A McDonald’s in Zuchwil, Switzerland accidentally showed porn to its customers on Saturday night, when the chain restaurant’s television screened Sexy Sports Clips, a show on German channel Sport 1.
Steffen Reiniger, who was getting burgers with friends when they saw the video, said he didn’t think any children were around.
“We were only a group of men so it didn’t bother us, but what would have happened if there was a family in the restaurant at that time?” he said (via The Local).
A McDonald’s spokeswoman told Swiss program 20 Minutes that employees are usually instructed to keep the television on sports channels.
“If our employees didn’t immediately realize, it’s because they were concentrating on our customers and their work,” she said.
